I haven't posted my bee blocks in a long time! First up, here is the last round of blocks for the vintage sheet bee...
For November. This is going to make a such a pretty quilt! And the block was not as difficult as it looks. (Here's a link to the tutorial, if you want to try the block yourself!)
December - time-consuming, but kinda cool!
January - my first ever "representational" block! It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It takes a whole different way of thinking about putting things together!
And finally, for February. I love the look of these blocks, but honestly they were such a pain in the butt to make. And I felt like I was always trimming, trimming, trimming - more fabric got thrown away than was left in the block!
And here are my blocks for the do. Good Stitches bee... (i'm so petty - every time I have type that name out, the kreativ punctuation drives me batty!)
Anyway, here's the November block... You should click over and see the final quilt here. It's gorgeous!
And the December blocks. Nice and simple, yay!
The January block... I was glad that I already had experience with this block! I loved picking out the fabrics for this one.
Okay, I'm all caught up now, whew! :-)
Love em all. Except the pattern for that 1st and last block - it looks cool but I am so bad at it. Perfection in quilting is not my forte! Anyway - bravo! I really like the look of the Feb. VS block, but haven't made it yet. You are on top of things, woman.
ReplyDeleteman, you're a busy BEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteba-dum-bump

ReplyDeleteI've been in the back ground reading your blog for some time now. Today I need to Post----I'm lovin that first and last block and have been trying to figure out the way it's put together. Brain is not working in that section so could you give any hints? Thanks for some good reading!!
ReplyDeleteyou are a bee block superstar...these look amazing
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty blocks! I love the house & trees one the best, but those are hard to put together! Otherwise I think I would make a quilt of house blocks (that definitely is not happening though :)
ReplyDeleteYou have been so productive lately! I'm jealous. It is so fun seeing all the different blocks. I especially love the one with the embroidery at the bottom-- so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm signed up to start a couple of new bees in March, so hopefully those will help get my creative juices flowin' again.
